Chronicle Sunshine Fund

Updated: Sep 26, 2023

The Chronicle Sunshine Fund was established in 1928 by King George V to ensure that every disabled child has the opportunity to lead an active, fulfilling childhood, and to develop the skills, independence and confidence for their transition to adulthood. We support over 700 local children annually who are living with disabilities, special educational needs, chronic and/or terminal illness by providing a huge range of clinical, leisure and educational equipment to children across the region, encompassing Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and Country Durham.

They applied to us to fund Living Aids and we were really pleased to help them and make a difference to the lives of the children.

"Living Aids" which supports day to day essential living such as beds and hoist systems. Sensory and Play items which provide play opportunities both indoor and outdoor and adapted IT and Communication equipment which acts as assistive technology for education, therapy and communication.
