Love Amelia

"Love, Amelia is a children’s charity based in Hendon, Sunderland, dedicated to supporting families with children aged 0–16 who are experiencing poverty and hardship across North East England, including Sunderland, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Gateshead, Newcastle, Northumberland, and County Durham. Our core service provides essential items and equipment to families in need.

We are absolutely thrilled to have received funding for our Car Seat Project. Through discussions with Northumbria Police, we identified a pressing issue in Newcastle's West End, where numerous families were without car seats due to the high costs involved.

Thanks to the generosity of The Wellbank Foundation, 50 children are now safer in their vehicles, and their parents will receive vital education on car seat safety. We hope this pilot project will help us better understand family needs and enable us to expand the initiative to other key areas we support across the North East."
