We loved this project - a fabulous place to connect and learn!
Jesmond Library has been entirely volunteer run for 10 years. For the last 8 they have been running monthly Wellbeing for Life sessions for older people. A regular audience of around 40 people meet up for a variety of talks and activities followed by refreshments, to reduce loneliness and social isolation. The aim is to promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing, and this year’s topics have included Craftwork, Bread and Cheese, Coronation Memories and Changing in Ageing.
